Harpreet Sangha, CFS

I am a Food Scientist, leader, entrepreneur, and product development expert, a founder of Harpreet Sangha & Associates Inc., a California based boutique Food Science consulting firm, focused on creating disruptive food products and providing science-based solutions. My Food Science journey started almost 20 years ago with my Master's dissertation project to develop lactose-free milk using an immobilized (encapsulated) yeast. Being born in Punjab, India, in an Agricultural family, food, and challenges associated with post-harvest and food waste were part of my early life. 

With 15 years of experience in product development, ingredient innovation, food applications, team management, technical service, and sales, I am the right partner to push food and beverage innovation boundaries. 

Having worked in a 500 Fortune company and a one-room start-up, I understand the challenges food companies face. Either you are a big or medium-sized company trapped in long cycles of innovation or a small start-up struggling to take your recipe to the next level or struggling to source commercial ingredients, I have what it takes to lead you to success. With hands-on experience in various food categories such as soups, sauces, salad dressings, bakery, snacks, beverages, and dairy products, I am not afraid to roll my sleeves and get to work or lead a cross-functional team to achieve success.

I am recognized among peers as a resourceful, creative problem solver, excellent project manager, leader, and well connected in the food industry. My work has proven that I perform at the highest level when it comes to providing technical expertise for product development and commercialization. I rely on extensive personal experience and my vast global network. 

I am a Certified Food Scientist, with MS in Food Science and MS in Biotechnology, with a strong passion for food science, nutrition, and consumer behavior, with relevant academic background enabling a comprehensive approach I take your product to new heights.
